Chitrakoot District Magistrate Inspects Sonepur Auditorium, Orders Strict Upkeep Ahead of Public Use

The District Magistrate of Chitrakoot inspected the newly constructed Sonepur Auditorium, directing officials to maintain strict cleanliness and readiness ahead of its use for public and government events. Built under the Rurban Mission at a cost of ₹8.21 crore, the facility is set to become a key venue in the district.

The District Magistrate of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, conducted a detailed inspection of the newly built Sonepur Auditorium, issuing firm directions to ensure that the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness and readiness before being opened for public and government events.

During the visit, the DM reviewed the condition of the premises and emphasized that no negligence in sanitation or maintenance would be tolerated. He noted that the auditorium is expected to serve as an important venue for community gatherings as well as official programmes, making its proper upkeep a priority for the district administration.

Constructed at a cost of ₹8.21 crore under the Rurban Mission, the Sonepur Auditorium is among the region’s key infrastructural additions aimed at enhancing civic amenities. The DM’s inspection underscored the administration’s intention to ensure that public infrastructure is fully functional, well-maintained, and capable of supporting large-scale events.

With the facility now nearing operational readiness, the district authorities are focusing on final checks and improvements to guarantee that the auditorium meets public expectations.
